These terms apply when you, as a consumer, buy from us at pleat.porous.systems. By placing an order you accept them. Swedish consumer law applies, and nothing here limits the rights it gives you.
Orders and prices
- What you get: the four 3D-printed parts of the Pleat lamp, which are the base, shade, lock ring and fill plug, in the colours you choose. No electrical parts are included. To finish the lamp you need an IKEA E14 cord set, an E14 LED bulb and about 1 kg of dry sand for the ballast. The parts are made to fit IKEA's E14 socket thread.
- We currently sell and deliver within Sweden only.
- The price is shown at checkout in Swedish kronor and includes 25% VAT. Delivery within Sweden is free.
- The agreement is made when your payment goes through. You'll get a receipt by email straight away.
- If something stops us from delivering your order, such as an obvious pricing error, we'll tell you as soon as possible and refund you in full.
Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe. You can pay by card, with Klarna, or with a wallet such as Apple Pay, depending on your device; checkout shows what's available. We never see or store your card details. Card payments are charged when you order; Klarna's own terms apply if you choose Klarna.
Delivery
Each lamp is printed to order in the colours you chose. We dispatch within 7 working days and send you an email with tracking when it leaves us. Delivery then usually takes 1–3 working days. If we can't dispatch within that time we'll tell you, and you may cancel for a full refund. Under Swedish law, delivery must happen no later than 30 days after your order unless we agree otherwise.
The lamp is your responsibility once you, or someone you've chosen, has received it. Please check the parcel when it arrives and tell us about any damage from transport as soon as you can.
Changing your mind
You have 14 days to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason. Choosing colours from our range doesn't take this right away. Returns and withdrawal explains how it works, and you can withdraw from your purchase here.
Faults and complaints
If your lamp is faulty, you have the right to complain (reklamera) under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen) for three years after you receive it. A fault that appears within two years is presumed to have been there from the start, unless we can show otherwise. Tell us within a reasonable time after you notice the fault; within two months is always in time.
Email order@porous.systems with a short description and a photo. Depending on the fault we'll repair it, replace the part or the lamp, or give you a price reduction or a refund. We pay the cost of sending a faulty lamp back to us.
Pleat is a printed object: tiny layer lines, slight variations in colour between batches and a visible seam along the pleats are part of how it's made, and aren't faults.
Product safety
- Product
- Pleat table lamp, printed parts: base, shade, lock ring and fill plug. Ø240 × 276 mm assembled, printed in PLA plastic. Contains no electrical parts.
- Manufacturer
- Vitgranen AB, Vitgransgatan 9, 247 33 Södra Sandby, Sweden, order@porous.systems
- Use a CE-marked E14 cord set, such as IKEA's, and follow the instructions and ratings that come with it. Never use a cord set that is damaged.
- Use an E14 LED bulb only. PLA softens at about 60 °C, so never use halogen or incandescent bulbs.
- Keep the cord set unplugged while you assemble the lamp and whenever you change the bulb.
- For indoor use in dry rooms only.
- Don't cover the shade or block the opening at its top, which lets heat out.
- Keep it away from radiators, ovens, open flames and strong direct sunlight behind glass, which can deform the plastic.
- The fill plug and lock ring are small parts. Keep them away from young children while you assemble the lamp.
Assembly takes a few minutes: fill the base with sand through the hole underneath and screw in the plug, thread the lock ring onto the socket, push the socket up through the base, lay the cord in the groove underneath, and screw the shade on.
